Pole Drop Examples #
There are different variations of pole drops, each with its own name and execution. Some common pole drop moves include:
Chopstick Drop #
The pole dancer performs a Chopstick Pole Split and then releases their thigh & tricep grip, allowing their body to descend down the pole in a controlled manner. In the final position, the poler catches the pole between their inner thighs to end up in a pole sit position.Â

Sad Girl Drop #
This drop in a crowd-pleaser. The pole dancer starts in a pole sit position at the top of the pole and releases the thigh grip. While dropping down the pole, the pole dancer curls into a ball and secures the position at the very end of the pole.Â

Butterfly Drop #
Butterfly Drop or on our platform it’s called Turnover Combo could be performed as a drop or as a regular combo. Starting in a butterfly position, the pole dancer releases their grip of the bottom hand.

They allows their body to fall into Flat Line Scorpio position. If maintaining a controlled position, the transition becomes smooth and you can consider it as a combo. While quick & vigorous performance creates the pole drop effect.Â
Lastly, one of the examples of a static drop that lands on the floor is a fan kick drop into a split. In this case, the pole dancer would start with a fan kick. By loosening their handgrip, they drop down and land in a split on the floor.Â
